Durban North Skills Academy was established in November 2024 with a single, unwavering purpose: to give every ambitious person in Durban access to world-class skills training, regardless of their background or starting point.
Located in the heart of Durban on Smith Street, we proudly serve school leavers, career changers, working professionals, and community members who need practical, accredited qualifications that translate directly into employment and economic independence.
Our academy offers programmes across three core faculties — Health, Nated (Business & Engineering), and Occupational Qualifications — as well as Matric and Matric Re-write programmes for those who need a second chance at their foundational credential.

All Programmes
Tap a faculty to explore its courses. Registration fee of R500 applies to all standard programmes.
Build a career in healthcare and community service. All courses are nationally recognised and prepare you for employment in hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and community settings across South Africa.
NATED programmes run from N4 through to N6, providing a nationally recognised pathway toward a National Diploma. Ideal for students who want to enter the formal economy in business or technical fields.

Engineering Studies
Diploma pathway: Completing N4, N5, and N6 plus 18 months relevant work experience qualifies you for a National Diploma — a powerful credential in the South African labour market.
Occupational qualifications are industry-specific credentials aligned to real workplace standards. They fast-track you into employment by proving to employers you have the exact skills they need.
Full Matric Programme
For students who have not yet completed their National Senior Certificate (NSC). Our structured programme provides guided instruction, study materials, and support to help you achieve your full matric pass.
Matric Re-write
Already have a matric certificate but want to improve your symbols? Our re-write programme helps you target specific subjects to upgrade your results and unlock new career or study opportunities.
